Dunmaglass

Through our Dunmaglass wind farm we make around £245,000 per year available for community and charitable projects. Between 2015 and 2040 we expect to invest £6.2million in local projects.

Additional funding is committed to the regional Sustainable Development Fund. This fund opens every two years and supports transformational projects across the Highland local authority area.

The Strathdearn - A Vibrant Community Hub in Tomatin

The Dunmaglass Community Fund has played a pivotal role in supporting the multi-million pound development and ongoing operation of The Strathdearn, a modern, energy-efficient community hub located in the picturesque village of Tomatin, just 15 miles south of Inverness. With stunning views over the iconic Findhorn Viaduct, The Strathdearn has become a cornerstone for local life and activity.

This first-class facility boasts a large hall, meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen, and hotdesking spaces, making it a versatile venue for a wide range of uses. It regularly hosts community groups, weddings, exhibitions, and traditional ceilidhs, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

Equipped with high-speed broadband and a superb range of audio-visual technology, The Strathdearn is also an ideal setting for training courses, business meetings, and conferences. Adjacent to the hub is a community-owned café and shop, along with a covered sports area, further enhancing the site as a vibrant focal point for the community. Additional amenities include E-bike hire and EV charging facilities, supporting sustainable transport options.

Through the vision and support of the Dunmaglass Community Fund, The Strathdearn has become much more than a building - it is a thriving hub that strengthens community connections, promotes local enterprise, and provides a welcoming space for all.
