Dogger Bank Wind Farm and delivery partner Seaway7 have installed all 277 transition pieces on Dogger Bank Wind Farm, marking the completion of all foundation installation work on the three-phase offshore wind project in the North Sea.

An independent report published today reveals that Dogger Bank Wind Farm, which will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm once fully operational, will boost the UK economy by £6.1 billion during its lifetime and support thousands of UK jobs over the next three decades.

SSE has announced plans for its Shepway Energy Park project in Romney Marsh, Kent. The proposed solar and battery development will generate enough carbon-free electricity to power approximately 73,000 homes – that is just over 10% of all homes in Kent – saving on average 49,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.

SSE is hosting a public consultation evening on Thursday 8th May for the proposed Tinnycross battery energy storage system (BESS), to be located north-east of Tullamore, County Offaly.  

SSE has received  a grant of planning permission from Mayo County Council for its proposed Mullafarry Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

SSE has opened its £1 million fund to support communities across the Highlands, focusing on community-led housing and building long-term capacity in the community sector. Grants of over £30,000 will be available to help local groups advance their ambitions and address key needs in their area.
